WHAT TO WEAR:
New to showing? Not sure what to wear? I looked it up for you, hope
this helps!! This is in accordance with the pony clubs rules. Some unaffiliated
classes may not be quite as strict, but this is a good guide.
SHOWING CLASSES (CHILDREN)
Show ponies
BS kite marked velvet hat, in black or navy: or skull with navy or black velvet cover.
Navy or brown show jacket.Fawn, cream or beige jodhpurs. Shirt with collar, tie and plain tie pin.
Brown Jodhpur boots. Leather gloves but string gloves are also acceptable.
A button hole (small) may be worn. Plain or leather covered show cane.

PONIES OF SHOW HUNTER TYPE/ WORKING HUNTER PONIES
BS kite marked velvet hat, black or navy or skull with navy or black velvet cover.
Tweed show jacket (navy or black coat may me worn at final judging at major shows).
Shirt with collar and tie and plain bar tie pin. Fawn or beige jodhpurs.
Brown Jodhpur boots.
For older children, plain riding boots with garter straps) Cane or whip not
exceeding 30 inches. No spurs.
MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND:-
PAS 015 or BS4472 skull with velvet cover that tones in with
Tweed Jacket or BS6473 velvet hat. A skull cap must be worn in Working Hunter
Pony classes. Shirt with collar and tie with plain bar tie pin. Fawn or
cream jodhpurs with brown Jodhpur boots (younger riders). Or fawn or cream
breeches with plain black boots. String or leather gloves. Leather covered
show cane.
UNDER BSPS RULES THE FOLLOWING APPLIES
Hats must be worn (compulsory EN1384, PAS015, BS4472
or PAS accredited at all times whilst mounted. If riders hat straps
come loose or open they must adjust it before continuing. Whips not to exceed
30 inches. Body protectors may be worn. Spurs are forbidden in all classes.
Earrings should never be worn.
